Supernormal is taking place 1-3rd August 2025 and we are beginning the programming process with an Open Call. Each year the open call has populated the SN program with all sorts of amazing creativity, and we are excited to see what weird and wonderful ideas are out there. 

The 2025 Open Call offers between 15-20 opportunities to be part of the Supernormal programme. 

We are looking for proposals that are experimental, risk-taking, out-of-the-box, thought provoking, and engaging. Have a look at previous years programmes to get an idea of the kind of work that we are interested in HERE and HERE.

You can propose:
  • Projects & installations
  • Workshops, activities, participation
  • Talks, discussions, panels
  • Film programs 
  • Music
  • Performance

We will support a minimum of:
  • 4 x £500 projects & installations
  • 6-10 activities, workshops, performances talks, films etc with fees of £150-£350 
  • 5 smaller activities in exchange for a festival ticket *i.e. walkabout, talk, film

Infomation: 
  • All fees include travel & materials. 
  • SN is a camping festival, so artists will need to camp. (live-in vehicles negotiated separately) 
  • Artists will receive a meal on the day(s) of your activity. 

Please note that:
  • Capacity is limited – the larger your party, the harder it will be for us to accommodate you and the less likely you will be to be accepted.
  • Over the weekend, our team are extremely busy. While we can provide support to make your project happen, the more autonomous your proposal the better.
  • The event runs on a limited budget so please bear this in mind in your application.
  • If you have been programmed through open call before we are unlikely to accept your application unless it's drastically different from what you've previously done.
